You. Us. We. Now.

“You. Us. We. Now.” It’s the Knicks’ awesome 2012 slogan. I love it!

As mentioned yesterday, my family hit a Knicks game last night! It was so much fun. I’ve never been to one before and absolutely loved the atmosphere. A total blast!

My sister and I were all the way up in section 306, but MSG is one of the arenas where there isn’t really a bad seat in the house. The best kind! The view was awesome. I snapped this picture while the teams were warming up. The Knicks are on the left and the Wizards are on the right.

Sistah tackled this Knicks-branded box of popcorn, while I had a pricey, but much needed beer. And speaking of my baby sister…

This is her! On the right. :) Her name is Stephanie and you’ll be seeing a lot of her on this blog!

The final score was 103-65. It probably would’ve been more exciting if the Wizards were a better team but I cheered my heart out anyway! After the game, Steph and I met up with two friends of mine from work who also went to the game. Then we came back to my place for a little sleepover. :) Fun night!

Thank God It’s Friday

I find myself thinking, “Thank God it’s Friday” almost every Friday… but I’ve been especially looking forward to this Friday all week. Why, you ask? Because my family has tickets to a Knicks game tonight! :)

Okay, so we’re going together as a family, but not sitting together. My parents are sitting with two of our family friends and my sister and I are sitting in together in a different section. I love any quality sister time though, so that’s fine with me! Baby sis might be sleeping over after the game too, yayyyy.

Breakfast

Now that it’s getting warmer out, I’ve been meaning to start making and bringing my overnight oats again. Sadly, I forgot again last night, so I grabbed an apple cinnamon Chobani on my way out today. I have a bag of Ambrosial Granola’s muesli in my desk, so I stirred some in and let it sit on my desk for about twenty minutes before I couldn’t resist any longer. Another favorite occupant of my desk? Sunbutter!

It’s my new favorite nut butter! I love the drippyness and the taste. It goes perfectly with my morning overnight oats. :)

Lunch

A busy day always means that I’ll be hitting our cafeteria’s salad bar for lunch. Today’s concoction was beets, tofu, roasted butternut squash, chickpeas, and dried cranberries on a bed of mesclun greens. Not bad! I love when the caf offers up something sweet that I can add to my salad, like butternut squash or sweet potatoes.

That’s about it for now! Sooo excited for this Knicks game! :)

March Sadness

The NCAA final game was painful to watch!

Kansas just couldn’t keep up. My March madness turned to March sadness while watching that $510 slip through my fingers. :( Ah well, there’s always next year!

On another note, my lovely roommate decided to tackle a fun little DIY project while the game was on: making a homemade orange peel candle!

It took us about fifteen matches or so to get it lit… but success at last! Visit Apartment Therapy to learn how to make your own.

Isn’t it pretty? Smelled great too!

Some Final March Madness!

I am feeling the madness!

The Kentucky-Kansas championship game just started, and man, do I want Kansas to win! The $510 prize for first place in my office pool is on the line here. As well as bragging rights, of course! :)

Here’s my bracket:

My 2012 March Madness bracket!

Check out all that green! Not bad, huh? I’m in fourth now and the only person with Kansas picked to win the championship. So if they win, I win the $510! But if they lose, I get nothing. :( Fingers crossed!
